Saint-at-Large party heads for Canada. For the first time outside the United States, the renowned "Saint at Large" of New York is associating itself with a Canadian group to present "The Black & Blue Party," a mega-dance benefit event for AIDS in Montreal.
Organized by the Bad Boy Club of Montreal, the event is being held on the occasion of the joint American Columbus Day and Canadian Thanksgiving holiday weekend and to celebrate Montreal's 350th Anniversary (1992). The event will take place starting at 10 p.m. October 11 at Club Metropolis, a revamped historic theater and Canada's largest dance club. All proceeds will be donated to AIDS Community Care Montreal.
The Black & Blue Party will be the first all-night gay benefit event approved by local authorities in Montreal, a major gay city in Canada. The venue has been chosen for its great space, high-quality sound and lights, coat check facilities and legal capacity of 4,000 people. 12,000 official invitations have been mailed to gay men across the United States and Canada.
Advance tickets for the upcoming Black & Blue Party are $12 Canadian per person, available by calling 1-800-361-4595. Tickets are $18 at the door (cash only) while they last. All proceeds from the door will be donated to AIDS Community Care Montreal.
